The Bengal cat, a cross between Asian Leopard Cat and a Siamese, is best known for its beautiful Leopard spotted coat. But it isn’t just this unique coat that makes them one of the nations most loved cat breeds, it’s their loving and curious nature.

Average Life Span: 10 - 15 Years Coat Colours: brown spotted, brown marble and snow spotted Bengals Weight: 8 to 15 pounds The Bengal is a very social cat, so it’s ideal for families with young children, and even dogs. Surprisingly, the Bengal cat will play fetch just as well as your family dog and will become best friends with them if they pay each other mutual respect. But despite their friendly nature, they are still inclined to stalk smaller prey, so won’t be so kind to animals like hamsters or rabbits. They differ from the stereotypical feline in that they tend to be fond of water, and will happily take a dip in a pond, the bath or wander into the shower. If you’re planning to get a Bengal, it’s important to note that they’re active cats and hate being cooped up inside. You’ll need to ensure you’re in a rural enough area for them to run around for hours without the dangers of traffic.
