Siberian cats make the perfect pet, they are full of affection for their owners and are playful and doglike in their loyalty and friendly nature. They are medium sized, originate from Russia and the breed lineage can be traced all the way back to the 13th century.

Average Life Span: Up to 15 years Coat Colours: Siberians have up to 124 coat colour variations! Weight: Males 5.4kg to 6.8kg, females 3.6kg to 4.9kg These broad chested cats can grow fairly large, have semi long-haired coats (probably originally to protect them against the conditions of their homeland), have tall tipped ears and a somewhat wild appearance. When it comes to their temperament, they are affectionate towards their owners, loyally coming to greet you when you are home from work. They will follow you around the house, ‘help’ with your daily chores and tasks as well as bring you toys to coax you to engage in play with them. They are playful, un-shy and very energetic, whilst still being very relaxed and gentle. Siberian cats do require regular grooming because of their long-haired coats, so keeping on top of the brushing and combing is important to keep their coats healthy. They will love being brushed and it will be the highlight of their day! They are also a strong and healthy breed, so a purebred will not have many breed-related health ailments and can live up to 15 years by your side.
