DIY Dog ToyYour pup may go through toys like there is no tomorrow and it will probably cost you a small fortune. So, have you ever thought about making some DIY dog toys? Even if you’re not into anything DIY, you will easily craft these dog toys as they are simple, straightforward and are sure to keep your pup entertained for hours on end.

DIY Rope Toy

Rope toys are always a favourite with any breed of dog. If you have two dogs they may enjoy playing tug of war or chasing each other round for the rope. Now you can get them for free. Simply find an old t-shirt, cut it into strips and braid them together for a simple rope toy that will keep them entertained for hours.

DIY Water Bottle Toy

Most dogs love playing with plastic bottles as they love the sound when they crinkle. However, they may not last very long. Now you can make the fun last even longer by placing the water bottle in a sock and tying up the open end or by wrapping it in an old t-shirt. Just make sure that you keep an eye on your pup, as you don’t want the sock to come off and for them to swallow it, or for any sharp pieces of plastic they have chewed to start cutting their mouth.

DIY Feeder Toy

This will definitely be a great hit with your pup – offering adventure and food all in one! All you need to purchase is some inexpensive PVC piping from your local hardware store and drill a few holes all around. Then fill with your pup’s kibble or favourite treats for a puzzle that will have their mouth-watering. It is important that you always put your pup’s safety first. Supervise them when playing with all toys and regularly inspect them for any damage. Get rid of any toys that are falling apart as you don’t want them to swallow anything harmful.
